Born from necessity
We run Eco Bee Cambridge, a shop in an English village outside Cambridge that sells eco-friendly products, including high-quality secondhand children's clothes, toys, and books that are sold on consignment (good for the envioronment and the pocket book!).
We made this software so we could focus more on what we like (time with family, making the shop better in ways that matter) and less on what we don't (manual bookkeeping, taking hours to do things a computer can do in milliseconds). Ok, maybe we like making software a little bit too.
Other options for managing consignors with Shopify were more expensive, more complex, and less extensible than we wanted. Shopify's tools work pretty well for managing products — just the link to consignment was missing. So we built it for ourselves, and now we're sharing it with you.
